Tags and particles
Collect chat tags and particle effects.
Chat tags
A tag sits in front of your name in chat. Pick one with /tags. If you haven’t picked one, the slot shows your earned rank instead, like Sapling or Grove; the Playtime rank button in /tags switches back to that.

Tags come in three kinds. Single symbols are the common ones, small-caps words are rarer, and gradient words are mythic only.
How to get tags
| Tag | How |
|---|---|
| Most tags | Crates: Voting, Clove and the seasonal crate each have their own set |
| Voter | 10 total votes |
| OG | The first 100 players to join. Never given again |
| Clover tags | Picking a clover, upgraded at level V |
Tags are never sold for Petals.
Particles
Particle effects follow you around. /particles lists the ones you have. They come from crates only:
- Voting Crate: Notes, Green Sparks
- Clove Crate: Cherry Fairy, Snow Footprints, Ender Aura, Snow Cloud
- Harvest Moon: Flame Rings, Volcanic Halo
Dahlia and Orchid can switch particles without a cooldown.
Showing an item in chat
Type [item] in a chat message to show everyone what you’re holding. They can hover over it to see its details.
