Claiming land

Protect your build, trust friends and set your own rules.

Inside your land, nobody else can build, break or open anything. Claiming is free, and nothing you claim expires or gets taken back.

Your first claim

  1. Stand where you want to liveLand comes in chunks: 16 by 16 blocks, from bedrock to sky. Press F3 + G on Java to see the chunk lines.
  2. Type /claimThat chunk is yours, and your land is created with it. A small marker block appears with your land’s name above it.
  3. Build, and claim more as you growStand in the next chunk and /claim again, or open /lands map and click free chunks next to your land.
Claim before you build, not afterUnclaimed builds are much harder for staff to restore. Everything is logged and can usually be rolled back, but a claim means it never needs to be.

Building with friends

/trust <name> makes someone a member of your land so they can build there. /untrust <name> takes it back. Only trust people you actually know.

Every member has a role. In /lands, under the player settings, you choose what each role may do: build, open chests, use doors, invite others. Visitors get a role too, so you decide whether they can open doors, press buttons, or nothing at all.

Your land, your rules

The flags in /lands decide what happens inside your land:

  • Creepers and endermen breaking blocks, TNT, and fire spreading
  • Monsters, animals and phantoms spawning
  • Water and lava flow, leaves decaying, crops growing

The main block

Right-click the marker from your first claim for shortcuts to your land menu and the map. Its barrel is storage shared by everyone in your land, also reachable with /lands storage. Moving or hiding it is free.

Areas inside your land

Mark out part of your land block by block and give it its own trust and rules: a shared farm, a guest room, a shop front people may walk into. Start with /lands selection.

The land bank

Each land has a shared pot of Petals. Members can deposit; trusted admins can withdraw. It pays for renaming your land (10,000 ✿) or handing it to someone else (5,000 ✿).

How much you can claim

Everyone can claim a good-sized home from day one, and the amount grows as you play. The sidebar in game always shows how much you have left. If you want more room straight away, land packs add to it, and nothing you buy ever lowers what you earned.
