Getting started
How to join
Addresses for Java and Bedrock, and what to do if it won't connect.
The same address works on Java and Bedrock.
Java Edition
- Open MultiplayerLaunch Minecraft: Java Edition and choose Multiplayer, then Add Server.
- Enter the addressType
play.clovesmp.comas the server address. No port needed. - JoinSave it, then double-click CloveSMP in your list. The latest version of Minecraft is the safest choice.
The server offers a resource packIt adds the custom items, like the Harvest Scythe. Accept it when asked, or those items will look like ordinary tools.
Bedrock Edition
Phones, tablets, Windows and other Bedrock versions can join the same world.
- Open ServersChoose Play, then the Servers tab, then Add Server.
- Enter the address and portServer address
play.clovesmp.com. The port is already19132, which is right; leave it. - JoinSave, then tap the server to connect.
ConsolesXbox, PlayStation and Switch don’t let you add a server from the menu. Ask in Discord and someone will walk you through it.
A few things work slightly differently on Bedrock: custom item models from the resource pack don’t show, and voice chat is Java only.
If it won't connect
| What you see | Try this |
|---|---|
| “Unknown host” | Check the spelling: play.clovesmp.com, with the play. at the start. |
| “Outdated client” or “Outdated server” | Update Minecraft to the latest release and try again. |
| Bedrock can’t find the server | Check the port is 19132, the default. 25565 is the Java port and won’t work on Bedrock. |
| The status above says offline | The server may be restarting. Restarts are announced in Discord. |
